Who we are

Born and raised in the Brainerd Lakes Area, The Mercantile is owned and operated by mother/daughter team, Julie and Amy LaValle. They spend most of their free time scouring auctions, estate sales, attics, and basements looking for cool stuff for the shop.

Working with Julie and Amy is a crew of creative vendors who each bring their own style and energy to the shop. Because of this collaboration we’re able to make sure The Mercantile is constantly changing, both in atmosphere and product variety. We love what we do and it shows!
